Black & White or Colour?

It's amazing what a difference in mood the same photo can project, whether it's in black & white or in colour. I was playing around in photoshop with this photo and I couldn't decide which version I liked best. So, if you're checking out my blog - leave me a comment and let me know which you prefer!

A few old favorites...
No, unfortunately it's not real - still pretty cute though! I love interesting detail shots like this one.
This is Raz, a little gray Arabian gelding with lots of attitude!
Summer sunset - this is the view from my balcony at home.
A little bit of summer fun out on the lake. This was taken right after I got my new camera, (Nikon D300) and it turned out pretty good considering..
I've been waiting ALL winter for these beautiful blue skies.
What an expression! I was ecstatic when I looked at my LCD and saw that I captured this look on his face. Ducks are pretty funny little creatures.

Since we've been learning about Wildlife photography in class this week, I thought it would be fun to go on a bit of a hiking adventure and try to snap a few neat shots along the way. These photo's were taken either in Ellison Provincial Park or in Polson Park - both located in Vernon, BC.
This is Tiggy; one of my many critters. You'll probably begin to recognize his little face, as he is one of my favorite subjects to photograph.
Beautiful sunshine!

First Photo Assignment of the Year!

This is my mini-snowman. I found him sitting all by his lonesome there on the curb of the river. It's a little hard to judge from this photo, but he is only about 3 - 3.5 inches high.

Close-up shot. I had a great time shooting all of the water droplets, they were everywhere!

Horizon. This shot was a struggle due to the surroundings being so flat, and I still feel it's a bit.. lifeless?

Blogging is SO easy!
I snapped this shot during a vacation in Florida. I loved the details in this weird looking flower! I've done a bit of research into what type of tree this was growing on, but haven't had any luck finding anything similar. Any ideas?
This is one of my favorite photos. It was taken using a small Kodak point and shoot camera, when I first started playing around with Photography as a career. One of my beautiful classmates, during a school shoot for our Lighting for Stills class. This was taken using only natural light and a gold disk reflector.
